Our philosophy of care
- To recognise the individuality of each person in the home, each with their own uniqueness, life history, personality, beliefs, fears and vulnerabilities. We recognise this and enable each resident to have a good quality of life.
- To create a family home environment, safe, warm and welcoming and also fun.
- We uphold the values of confidentiality, dignity, respect and trust.
- We do not put people under umbrella diagnosis such as dementia or Alzheimer's, but treat everyone according to their individual needs.
- We understand fear, agitation and confusion and meet these symptoms with much care and sensitivity.
- High standards of nursing care is achieved through teaching, supervision, monitoring, auditing, education, appraisal and role play.
- Staff work as a team. There are trained staff, care staff, cooks, cleaners, gardeners and maintenance personnel.
- Health and safety standards are high on our list of priorities.
- We maintain a good working relationship with social workers, GPs, consultants, relatives and services.
- Counselling is provided for relatives and friends
- Nursing staff adhere to the U.K.C.C.S code of conduct
We aim to provide our residents with the highest standard of quality care in a warm, friendly environment, tailored to meet each individual's needs.
